12 members of Vortex Taekwondo traveled to Portland on June 14-16th to compete in the 2019 Pan-Am Open Championships bringing home 6 medals. Jade Lee fought in the Pan-Am Championships representing team Canada for the first time. Unfortunately she lost her first match to Puerto Rico. Matea Kafadar won Bronze along with Emma Wilson. The Vortex Senior team had four competitors that all found a place on the podium. Josipa Kafadar won Gold, Shane Britton won silver, Ethan Jenkins and Mya Nicholson both won bronze. Amazing weekend of great fights and fantastic results. Congratulations team!
